 mmering moon dust in the air. "Your destiny's calling\," an ethereal light 
 entity whispers into your ear and reaches out her hand.\nAs artists\, we do
 n't always follow the path of boundless creation our inner compass is guidi
 ng us toward\; life gets in the way\, a negative comment strikes a blow to 
 our confidence giving rise to defeat\, or our own negative self-talk causes
  us to stagnate. Sometimes we need a sign to return to our true mission and
  walk the path towards our highest\, creative selves.\nThis is your sign to
  join my 11-week optional drop-in workshop for emerging novelists and short
  story authors. Maybe you're someone who's written a few short stories\, bu
 t never received a formal education in creative writing or literature. Mayb
 e you've had a novel in a drawer for years that you haven't touched because
  you know certain elements of it\, such as setting and characterization\, n
 eed revision\, but you don't quite know how to edit them. Or perhaps you're
  brand new to fiction-writing and seeking a solid foundation in the art of 
 crafting a vividly immersive world on the page. If so\, this class beckons 
 you. \nWe'll cover every element of fiction: setting\, characterization\, 
 plot\,  narrative arc\, character arc\, prose\, research\, pacing\, dialog
 ue\, and perspective. Combining philosophies from a teetering pile of craft
  books (including The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron\, Steering the Craft b
 y Ursula Le Guin and The Art of Fiction by John Gardner) with my own uniqu
 e methods developed over a 13-year writing career\, I've collected gems of 
 inspiration and technical knowledge from every source I could find and am r
